About Robert Szema

In a race between a rabbit and a coyote, the rabbit will always try harder.  The reason being: where the coyote is running for his dinner, the rabbit is running for his life.

I'll be honest with you.  I've never been the rabbit.  But I take inspiration from everyone who has, especially my parents.  For those of you who haven't read Steve Jobs' commencement address, google "Steve Jobs Stanford graduation," and click the first link.  For those of you who don't know who he is, google "Steve Jobs Wikipedia" and do the same.

In his speech, he describes his struggles to success, and talks about a book that says simply, "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." Wonderful advice to a graduate, or anyone for that matter.

And there, in a nutshell, you have me.  I could tell you that I love playing basketball, that my favorite food is salt-and-pepper shrimp, that my hobbies are saltwater aquariums and poker. But in the end, to know me, all you really need to know is that I strive to stay hungry in all that I do.  And somehow, I've managed to get to where I am because of that.

Of course sometimes I just can't help myself.  The New York lottery is up to $330 million and I bought a ticket today.  Sometimes it's just fun to dream.

And as much as I idolize Steve Jobs, I'll do him one better.  It's not enough to be hungry. In the end, you just gotta believe you're running for your life.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the site!
